Exercise 2 - State of the art - Julia

Now when we've found our target group and identified the problem that we want to solve, next step in the progress will be a state of the art analysis to find out how other parties solve the problem and what solutions that already exists for the tourists that are visiting Stockholm. The state of the art analysis is a good way to observe in what way we can improve and make the purchase of the ticket and also to make sure that we're not doing something that already exists today.

When tourists come to visit Stockholm most of them visit some sort of tourist-agency. What’s why I had an interview with Stockholm Visitor Center today to make a state-of-the-art research to find out their experiences and how they use the subway. The following text is a summary of the interview.

When tourists ask how to get around in the city they recommend the subway and bus since it's the easiest way to move around. Dependent on how long they are going to stay and how often they will use the subway; the agency sells the best fitted ticket/ access-card.

Most of the tourists don't come back to the agency for further questions since they experience that the subway is easy-navigated with the three lines and the signs located in the subway. They also get a map when they buy the access-card to navigate with, which also makes using the subway much easier.

To summarize, The tourist-agencies is a great way for tourists to easy get access to the subway. One thing that is important is to not forget the tourists that don't visit the agencies. These tourists will become our focus group is this project.
