Exercise 5 - Think Aloud Evaluation - Per

We have now produced an almost fully functional Hi-fi prototype using Adobe illustrator and Marvel App. Using Illustrator is really nice since you can really get the resolution of stuff to look good. I spent a lot of time creating a SL-log and an Access-card logo in vectorform. I hope this has helped us achieve an Aesthetic and minimalist design  , one of the Heuretics Nielsen mentions in his article (Nielsen 2010: useit.com)

Me and Morgan are in Dublin attending Web Summit trying to research what's new in interface design. Therefore, I have done a think aloud evaluation with Alex Hamilton at the summit to see what he thought of our prototype interface.

One of the problems that Nielsen ( 2010: useit.com) brings up when he talks about his heuristics is that the subject might be biased. In this case, yes, that might be the case, since this person has engaged in a conversation with me because of what I work with. This is something I must consider when evaluating the results.

Here are the results:

Frame 1

-It's very clear what to do. The chinese flag is unclear since there are more than one chinese language.
(switches to english and hits single tickets)

Frame 2

I try to press T-centralen but it doesn't work. (I explain that the prototype is limited and he will have to go to T-centralen to Slussen).

-Ok, so I have want to go from T-centralen to slussen, I press "S".

-I like that it would autofill.

- Or choose zone, what does that mean? (He presses Zone A)

Frame 3

-I like that you can see the amounts adding up. What does it mean to travel within zone A? A bit unclear.

Frame 4

-I do the thingy (talking about inserting card)

-You should have an arrow, that indicates where the terminal is.

Frame 5

-I love the last screen, simple and funny! I like the simplicity in general. In some places a tad bit more information would be nice.
